The National Institute for Legislative and Democratic Studies, NILDS and University of Ilorin have opened talks on the feasibility of innovative, positive and timely solutions to rapidly advancing democracy in Nigeria.
Part of what came to the fore during a courtesy visit by a delegation led by the Director General of NILDS, Prof. Abubakar O. Sulaiman to the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Wahab Egbewole, SAN in Ilorin recently was the need to identify opportunities for partnership and collaboration between the two institutions in order to mutually support their respective mandates and promote democratic development in Nigeria.
The delegation, consist of the former Chairman of Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC and lead consultant at NILDS, Prof. Attahiru Jega, Management Staff of the Institute and other stakeholders.
