On July 26th, 2023, an academic inspection team from the National Board of Technical Education (NBTE) visited the National Institute for Legislative and Democratic Studies (NILDS). The team, led by Dr. Kubura Jauro, presented an accreditation report to Prof. Abubakar O. Sulaiman, the Director General of NILDS. The purpose of the inspection was to assess NILDS’ compliance with the requirements for its Higher National Diploma (HND) programs.

During the presentation of the report, Dr. Jauro praised the Institute for its commitment to academic best practices and for meeting NBTE’s minimum compliance requirements. She also highlighted the improvements in success rates and expressed her satisfaction with the resources available in NILDS’ library.

In response, the Director General expressed his appreciation to the delegation for their professionalism during the inspection. He reassured the team of NILDS’ unwavering dedication to achieving excellence and becoming a world-class institution of higher learning not only in Nigeria but also in the West African sub-region.

Prof. Nuhu Yaqub, the Chairman of NILDS’ Academic Advisory Council, expressed his gratitude to the inspection team for their transparency. He also expressed the hope that the reports would be made available as soon as possible after they have been approved by the board.
