In recognition of his excellent services and contributions to the advancement of the Legislative Arm of Government in Nigeria, the Association of Hansard/ Verbatim Reporters of Nigeria has honoured Prof. Abubakar O.Sulaiman, the Director General, National Institute for Legislative and Democratic Studies, NILDS, with the Excellent Capacity Builder Award.

According to Gobina Drisu, National President, Association Hansard/ Verbatim Reporters of Nigeria, the award is in recognition of the Institute’s high productivity, hard work, and excellence in service delivery

While accepting the award, Prof. Sulaiman expressed with great pleasure how honoured he felt with such recognition, “I am deeply honoured to know that my modest leadership style and achievements are worthy of such an important award.

He pledged the Institute’s continuous determination towards enhancing the capacity of legislative workers.
