Democracy Radio

Overview

Democracy Radio 104.9FM was established by The National Institute for Legislative and Democratic Studies (NILDS) as part of its mandate of sensitizing the Nigerian public to imbibe, support and defend democratic and legislative ethics. The radio station serves as medium for communicating democratic ideals to the general public, creating awareness about the business of governance; mobilizing citizens to participate effectively in the political process, disseminate information on how best the citizens can constructively engage the state at community, state and Federal levels; providing analysis on policy and legislative measures; sharing knowledge about global best practices; and serving as a medium to transmit information on the activities of NILDS to policy makers and the general public. Democracy radio is broadcast on FM radio at 104.9FM and live streamed at www.democracyradio.ng with additional content such as podcasts and videos.
