In a significant step toward promoting democratic principles and academic advancement, the National Institute for Legislative and Democratic Studies (NILDS) has taken the initiative to expand its collaborative efforts. This move aims to reinforce democratic consolidation through a partnership with the University of Ilorin.

During the visit, a delegation led by the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Wahab Olasupo Egbewole, SAN,reached a pact with NILDS.

The Director-General of NILDS, Prof. Abubakar O. Sulaiman, expressed appreciation for the visit and was pleased with the request for a partnership with the Institute. He highlighted NILDS’s various educational programs and stressed the importance of establishing ongoing collaborations with stakeholders capable of enhancing the Institute’s academic pursuits.

Prof. Egbewole, also expressed confidence that this new relationship would result in a fruitful synergy between UNILORIN and NILDS. It’s worth mentioning that Prof. Sulaiman had previously led a delegation from NILDS to the University of Ilorin for a similar meeting last week in Ilorin.
