To strengthen the mission and impact of the National Institute for Legislative and Democratic Studies, NILDS, the Institute formalized a strategic partnership with the African Group of Negotiators Experts, AGNES, through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding, MOU, penned on Monday, 28th October 2024.

The collaboration represents a significant step toward achieving shared objectives focused on fostering democratic governance, climate resilience, and policy innovation across the African continent.

During the signing ceremony, Professor Abubakar O. Sulaiman, Director General of NILDS, emphasized that this partnership will open doors for more extensive future collaborations. He expressed confidence that the combined efforts of NILDS and AGNES would significantly contribute to uplifting Africa’s standing and capabilities in areas critical to the continent’s growth and resilience.
