Prof. Sulaiman Calls for Religious Tolerance for Peaceful Co-existence
The Director General, National Institute for Legislative and Democratic Studies, NILDS, Prof. Abubakar O. Sulaiman has called on Nigerians to exhibit tolerance inorder to ensure peace and stability of the nation.
He made the remarks in Abuja, during his annual Iftar session organised for staff of the Institute on Thursday.
Prof. Sulaiman said one of the key problems of Nigeria was religious intolerance, saying there was need for the people to embrace peace at all times.
He also urged the staff of the Institute to pray for the leaders.
He said, “There is need for religious tolerance and humility to ensure peaceful coexistence.
“ I want to use this medium to urge Muslims to pray in this Holy month of Ramadan for healing of our land and peace for the people” he stated.
