The Director General, National Institute for Legislative and Democratic Studies, NILDS, Prof. Abubakar O Sulaiman received the Managing Director of New Age Network, Mr. Ibrahim Buba in his office recently.
The visit bordered on collaborations with the Institute in the area of television productions on the role of the Legislature vis a vis the advancement of democratic governance and national growth .

In his remarks, Mr. Buba intimated the Director General with his organisation’s achievements and initiatives towards sensitizing the citizenry and international community on the functions and workings of the Nigerian National Assembly. He hopes the Institute, which is the knowledge management hub of the National Assembly would further employ the use of television programmes to project the undertakings of the Legislature in the advancement of governance in Nigeria.

The Director General, NILDS, Prof. Abubakar O. Sulaiman in his address informed that the Institute has already secured license to operate a democracy radio which would do a lot in voters’ education, advocacy on issues of national interest. He however assured the New Age network of partnership which he believes would go a long way in generating a positive public perception of the Legislature.
