The unveiling of a research report on the inclusive practices of Nigeria’s political parties was done by Prof. Abubakar O Sulaiman, the Director General of the National Institute for Legislative and Democratic Studies (NILDS)alongside the Country Director of Westminster Foundation, Executive Chairman of the National Commission of Persons with Disability, Representatives of Political Parties and other development partners.

The report, which focuses on women, youth, and persons with disabilities, was carried out by the National Institute for Legislative and Democratic Studies, NILDS, in collaboration with the Westminster Foundation for Democracy, WFD. During the unveiling on Thursday, Prof. Sulaiman explained that the lack of participation from these marginalized groups prompted the Institute to conduct the research. He further stated that addressing these challenges requires a thorough examination and reflection on the successes and shortcomings of Nigeria’s democracy and its institutions.
