The core function of the Unit is to manage the Institute infrastructure, vehicles, and equipments. The unit is to ensure that structures and facilities/equipments are properly identified and regularly maintained and repaired. Other responsibilities include the monitoring of the Construction of the NILDS Permanent Site

Through the development of its infrastructure the Institutes targets to be an internationally recognized research outfit that facilitates the development and sustenance of dynamic and effective legislature and democracy in not only Nigeria but the Sub region and the entire African continent.
