is the engine room of the Institute saddled with the responsibility of running the day-to-day activities of the Institute in line with the vision and mission of the Institute. The Division acts as a check and balance in the workplace to maintain good conduct and comply with the ethics of Public Service. The Administration and Human Resource Division handles the overall administrative functions of the Institute. It plays a vital role in various activities like interviews, onboarding new employees, employee issues, and managing the whole activities related to human resources. It is important to note that most of the functions of this Unit are routine in nature, especially in maintaining a conducive working environment and providing adequate security in the Institute.
is the technical section of the Department. It is charged with maintaining the assets of the Institute. It is involved in repair works across all the Institute’s buildings, including its Guest Houses. It is also responsible for the supervision of structural engineering activities carried out by contractors with the application of statutory regulatory compliance.
is in charge and responsible for overseeing and management of the smooth operations of the Institute’s pool of vehicles. It performs both technical and administrative functions with monthly financial allocation to cover the maintenance, repairs, and fueling of the pool of vehicles. The Unit is under the supervision of the Administration and Human Resources Division.
Musibau Olalere Moshood is the Acting Director, Department of Administration and Human Resources, National Institute for Legislative and Democratic Studies (NILDS).
He holds a B.Sc in Public Administration from University of Ilorin, Postgraduate Diploma in Education from Lagos State University, and a Masters in Parliamentary Administration from the University of Benin. He is currently pursuing a PhD programme in Parliamentary Administration at the Federal University, Lokoja, Kogi State. He is a member of Chartered Institute of Purchase and Supply Management CIPSM, 2020; Senior Member of Public Diplomacy and Management; and Member Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria (CIPM).
He has attended the following workshops and trainings among others: Workshop for National Assembly Staff on Governance and Micro-Economic Management, 4-6, October, 2011; Workshop on Leadership Skills Development, Good Governance and Change Management, by Eastern and Southern African Management Institute, ESAMI at Dubai, UAE, 3-7, December, 2012; Project Management Seminar, by International Law Institute, May 11 – May 22, 2015, Washington D.C, USA; Management Development Programme for Administrative Officers by ESAMI, Njiro Hill, Arusha, Tanzania, 25 – 29, April, 2016; Specialized Report Writing Workshop for Parliamentary Staff, 19-21 April, 2017, Hotel Ibis, Lome; Workshop on Leadership at London Premier Centre, 2023, United Kingdom etc.
He participated in the organization of the First Africa Legislative Summit in 2013. He was the Secretary/Member of Planning Committee for the Distinguished Parliamentarians Lecture Series, 2021 and 2022. He was a member of NILDS team of Election Observers for 2019 and 2023 General Elections. He also participated in observation of several other off season’s elections from 2019 till date. He is a licenced Human Resources Practitioner by CIPM.
