Finance and Accounts is saddled with the responsibility of receipt, custody, disbursement and accounting of all funds received and expended by the institute. It provides financial advice to the Director General, Management and other staff.
Other financial services rendered include handling and management of financial aspects of all NILDS’ collaboration with International Development Partners.
The functions of the Budget & Cash office are as listed below: Preparation of annual budget Monitoring of Budget Performance and variance analysis Disbursement of funds and cash handling Liaising with Commercial Banks.
The functions of this unit are as listed below: Preparation of statutory financial statements and reports to the Office of Accountant-General of the Federation. Preparation of other financial reports to Management and the Institute’s Governing Council Bank Reconciliation reports Attending to external Auditors by providing necessary records and materials Program budgets and other ancillary services
The Unit carries out the following functions: Receipt and custody of materials and supplies ordered by the institute Attend to stationaries’ and other requests made by Departments Issuance of materials and supplies to Departments Determining re-order levels of store items and advising management accordingly. Other routine Accounting functions bordering on payments, salaries, pension and other statutory deductions and remittances are handled across the units of the Division.
