Eid-el- Kabir: DG NILDS, Prof Sulaiman sends a message to Muslims, Urges them to continue praying for Nigeria

The Director General, National Institute for Legislative and Democratic Studies, NILDS, Prof. Abubakar O. Sulaiman has urged Nigerians to use this year’s Eid el Kabir to continue praying for the country.

Prof. Sulaiman emphasized the need for Nigerians, particularly Muslim celebrants, to utilize this period to pray to Allah for the restoration of the nation’s prosperity, ultimately providing relief for the suffering masses. He regarded the celebration as an opportunity for all to learn essential lessons, such as selfless service to God and humanity, sacrifice, and sincere commitment to righteous conduct in both personal and public life.

In a statement signed by the former Minister of National Planning, he calls on all compatriots to use the occasion to foster unity, peace, and understanding among the diverse ethnic and religious groups in the country. He stressed that such collective efforts are crucial in overcoming the current challenges facing Nigeria.

Prof. Sulaiman also highlighted the significance of the Eid-el-Kabir festival, urging Muslims to emulate the virtues of Prophet Ibrahim, whose unwavering faith and obedience to Allah are central to the celebration. He called on Nigerians to support each other and contribute to the nation’s development through acts of kindness, generosity, and solidarity.

He concluded by wishing all Muslims a joyous and peaceful Eid-el-Kabir, filled with blessings and the fulfilment of their prayers for a better Nigeria.
