Gbajabiamila Tasks Nigerian Youths on Excellence

The Chief of Staff to the President, Mr Femi Gbajabiamila, has urged Nigerian youths to relentlessly pursue excellence with an unyielding spirit to do what is right to safeguard the future of the country.

Gbajabiamila, Immediate past Speaker of the House of Representatives, said this on Saturday, at the inauguration of the third fellowship cohort of the Legislative Mentorship Initiative (LMI) and fellows’ town hall in Abuja.

The LMI is a programme initiated by Gbajabiamila as Speaker of the 9th House of Representatives to mentor young Nigerians in legislative and other public services.

The initiative draws youth from across the country. Group cohorts were to expose them to theoretical and practical leadership.

While speaking, Director General, National Institute for Legislative and Democratic Studies, NILDS, Prof. Abubakar O.
Sulaiman, in his remarks, emphasized that NILDS’ expertise, resources, and institutional framework will offer LMI the stability and support necessary to make a significant impact on the future of Nigeria’s democracy.

LMI aims to nurture a capable legislative cadre proficient in navigating governance complexities and delivering effective representation. The initiative focuses on developing individuals proficient in navigating the complexities of governance and delivering effective representation.
