In an effort to bolster economic growth and enhance the economy through legislative actions and discussions, Professor Abubakar O. Sulaiman, the Director General of the National Institute for Legislative and Democratic Studies (NILDS), inaugurated a committee.
This committee is responsible for organising a retreat for the 10th Senate and was officially set in motion at the Institute’s state-of-the-art permanent site situated at Plot 307, Cadastral Zone, Umaru Musa Yar’adua Expressway, Airport Road, Abuja.
During the inauguration, the Director General emphasized that the constitution of the committee underscores the Institute’s dedication to implementing transformative reforms in fiscal policy and economic growth in alignment with President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda. He informed the members that the Institute’s Governing Council has approved October 18th to 21st for the retreat. He urged them to fulfil the mission and expressed confidence in their capabilities.
In his remarks, Honorable Aminu Shehu Shagari, member of the 6th, 7th, and 8th Assemblies and Consultant to the committee, stated that members would leverage their experience and expertise to successfully complete the assigned task and remain steadfast until its conclusion.
