The PROMAD Foundation has requested to collaborate with the National Institute for Legislative and Democratic Studies (NILDS) on participatory budgeting and other projects that promote accountability and transparency in the legislative budget process.
During a visit by PROMAD representatives, led by Founder and Executive Director Daisi Omokungbe, the Director General of NILDS, Prof. Abubakar O. Sulaiman, gave his approval and expressed the Institute’s commitment to work closely with PROMAD.
The partnership will focus on community needs assessment for budget making, legislative engagement, and accountability. The DG praised the Foundation for their initiative and emphasized the importance of needs assessment in the budgeting process.
