Ahead of the Inauguration of the 10th Assembly, the National Institute for Legislative and Democratic Studies, NILDS is set to collaborate with Universal Health Coverage.
Journalist and broadcaster, Moji Makanjuola, MFR, who led the UHC delegation to the Institute on Tuesday, said the UHC forum 2023 is about addressing the huge gaps in the health sector both in service delivery and policy implementation.
According to her, partnering with NILDS ahead of the induction of the 10th Assembly is a needed action to address health policy issues.
While responding, the Director General of NILDS, Prof. Abubakar O. Sulaiman, assured the team on the readiness of the Institute to partner with the organisation on equitable access to quality healthcare services.
“As a nation, we must strive to improve our health system. Our lawmakers should see health as part of their agenda. On our part we would partner with you to move our health sector forward ,” he stated.
The UHC 2023 Forum is a coalition of stakeholders including donor agencies, development partners, and civil society organisations.
